When parents suffer tragedy or hardship, children can suffer for a lifetime. At Home-Start we help families in crisis, so that children can go back to enjoying the childhood they deserve. Our volunteers provide confidential emotional and practical support in the families’ own homes for a few hours a week – helping them cope, preventing family breakdown or at worst, children being taken in to care.
