Start, a sustainability initiative inspired by HRH The Prince of Wales, partnered with Living Streets and Eurostar (a Start partner) in October 2011 for the :Walk to School’ campaign. Start’s original aim was to encourage children to walk to school more but we were unsure how to go about it. Having looked at the Living Streets website the organisation seemed the perfect choice and we weren’t wrong! Living Streets was able to tailor the offering to what both Start and Eurostar were looking for – a focus on schools in specific London boroughs with a low percentage of children walking to school. A further significant benefit was the reporting which clearly demonstrated the impact of the joint programme.
